Box Score MEDFORD - Junior Taylor Meek assisted five goals and scored one of her own to lead the #20 Tufts University women's lacrosse team to a 16-3 victory over Keene State College under the lights at Bello Field on Wednesday.

Ten different players scored goals for Tufts (7-4), including three each by freshman Emily Games and junior Caroline Nowak. The Jumbos finished their non-league schedule at 5-0.
Junior Tori Weinstock scored a pair of goals both assisted by freshman Gabby Smith to lead the Owls (3-8), who saw a three-game winning streak end.
Tufts dominated the first half, building a 12-0 lead and not allowing a shot by the Owls. Meek had four of her assists in the first 30 minutes and Games scored all three of her goals. The pair combined for one at 11:15 of the opening half which gave Tufts a 10-0 advantage and put the clock on running time. Tufts finished four for 11 on free-position attempts in the half.
The Jumbos brought in their reserves to start the second half, including the first action of the season for freshman goalie Kelly Melin. She would make three saves in 30 minutes of action.
Nowak scored from sophomore Gabby Vinci early to put Tufts up 13-0. Keene would get three of the next four goals. Including the two Smith to Weinstock connections, senior Taylor Graf also netted one for the Owls on a free-position shot.
Other Jumbo goals in the second half were scored by junior Tori Rudnicki and freshmen Alison Moky and Dana Gill.
Tufts won 17 of the 20 draws in the game, led by three controls from sophomore Dakota Adamec. Twelve Jumbos in all had draw controls in the game. That helped the hosts post a 38-7 advantage in shots.
The Jumbos also won groundballs 17-12, including three each by Games and senior defender Casey Briody. Of Tufts' eight caused turnovers, Games had three and two were by Briody. Tufts forced the Owls into just four successful clears in 17 attempts.
Freshman Tess Masci caused a pair of turnovers for Keene and scooped up two groundballs. Senior Gretchen Faulstich picked up three groundballs. Alison Argiro (eight saves) and Anna O'Brien (four saves) split halves in the Keene goal.
The Jumbos remain at home to host Amherst College in NESCAC action on Saturday at 1 p.m. Keene State is at Rhode Island College for a Little East game tomorrow night at 6:30 p.m.
