MEDFORD, MA (November 24, 2025) – Senior
Madeleine Dunn of the Tufts University women's swimming & diving team has been selected as the NESCAC Performer of the Week following her efforts in two Jumbo meets over the weekend.
At a quad meet hosted by Williams College and including Trinity College and WPI on Saturday, Dunn won two races and had a runner-up finish. Her time of 5:01.31 to win the 500 freestyle was the best mark in the conference this year through Saturday. She also won the 1000 freestyle with a 10:22.57 finish that was ranked second in NESCAC early in the season. She added a runner-up mark of 4:34.57 in the 400 individual medley.
The next day at home in a dual meet against Brandeis, Dunn recorded a win and a second while also swimming a relay. Her win came in the 200 freestyle with a 1:53.50 time. She also swam 1:00.35 in the 100 backstroke for second place, and was the third leg of Tufts' 200 freestyle relay which recorded a 1:45.26 finish. The top marks in the conference have not yet been updated to include this meet.
The NESCAC Rookie of the Year in 2023 and a four-time conference champion in her career, Dunn wins the Performer of the Week award for the first time.
Surprisingly, this is the Tufts women's team's first Performer of the Week honor since Lily Klinginsmith was named on December 6, 2022.
