MEDFORD, MA (March 25, 2026) – The Tufts University men's golf team is eager to get the sticks out for the first time since this past October as they prepare for a busy spring season.
The spring campaign kicks off this coming weekend in Malvern, Pennsylvania at the White Manor Country Club as the Jumbos compete in the Swarthmore College Invitational. Tufts then will travel to Connecticut to compete in the Trinity College Bantams Invitational, followed by the Tim Brown Invitational at the Ballston Spa Country Club in New York, hosted by Skidmore, followed by the Emory University Spring Invitational in Georgia. The Jumbos finish off April with the three-day NESCAC Men's Golf Championships which will be held at Tumble Brook Country Club in East Haddam, Connecticut.
The Jumbos return to the links after a strong final stretch to their fall season as they registered three top five team finishes in the final three events of the fall campaign under first-year head coach
Stephen Doyle. Tufts took fifth place out of 15 teams at the Williams College Fall Invitational, before finishing third out of 17 teams at the Bowdoin College Invitational and ranking second out of eight teams at the Hamilton College Fall Invitational to cap off the first half of the season.
Holden Kittelberger highlights the returning golfers after a standout fall. The senior collected three top 15 individual finishes in four event appearances. Kittleberger earned his best finish of the season with a sixth place ranking at the Bowdoin College Invitational with a strong +1 score across the two-day event. The Texas native captured 23 birdies and an eagle throughout the fall season.
Brendan Roy also returns to the Jumbo roster after a strong fall. The junior participated in all four events and registered a fifth place finish at the Williams Fall Invitational with a three-day score of +4, followed by a tied for ninth place finish at the Hamilton College Fall Invitational with a two-day score of +8. The Sterling, Massachusetts native tallied 24 birdies and an eagle throughout the fall.
Junior
JP Noone will be back in the spring as well for Tufts. Noone earned two top 15 finishes throughout the fall season. The Weston, Massachusetts native finished fifth individually in the three-day Williams College Fall Invitational with an impressive score of +6. Noone also finished tied for 15
th in the Duke Nelson Invitational at the Ralph Myhre Golf Course with a score of +7. The junior notched 19 birdies in the fall.
Nick McCabe and
Brooks Cahill-Sanidas rejoin the Tufts roster after some solid fall appearances. McCabe registered two top 15 finishes with a 13th place finish in the Williams College Fall Invitational and a tied for 14th place finish in the Hamilton College Fall Invitational.
Tufts will look to reclaim their NESCAC Championship title from 2024 after finishing eighth at the NESCAC Championships last season.
